- The Big Time: But just because your characters don’t have the advantage doesn’t mean they can’t play with the big boys, if they find a way. 5m2m is very much about punching above your weight. And then having to deal with the consequences.
- Putting The Punk Back In Cyberpunk: Characters in 5m2m are counterculture. They’re marginalised, living on the fringes of society. A major theme in 5m2m is the social consequences of technology and unchecked corporate power.
- Back To The Future: Let’s be honest — we currently live in a world where many of the predictions of cyberpunk writers have already come true. The technology available in 5m2m is in many ways behind what is contemporary. Keyboards are big and clunky affairs, not touchscreen. Cyberware plugs in with heavy jacks, not wireless connections. Only the rich can afford to live in Apple iWorld.
